Interview with Carl Hughes:

BORG: So why am I interviewing you again? Are you even on the BORG 24 hour team?

CARL HUGHES: ahhh... no.. but i'm CARL HUGHES!

BORG: ... uhhh OK... CARL

CH: DuuDE!!!!!

BORG: I was warned you might do that..

CH: Oh you were were you? .. who warned you?

BORG: not important.... HEY I'm asking the questions here!

CH: sorry... I'm just EXCITED!

BORG: big surprise... why you excited?

CH: cause my main man RAGING BULL (Travis Williams) is back on the TRAIL DUDE!

BORG: you a fan of Travis' ?

CH: more than a fan.... I love that guy.. I carried a 60 pound rock 2 miles off the track at willow springs just so he could have it in his backyard!

BORG: why'd he want it in his backyard? What was special about that rock - Home Depot has rocks.

CH: cause it was the "shoulder boulder"!

BORG: Shoulder boulder?

CH: yeah... the rock that did him in... it's the one that sent him over the bars and broke his collarbone and separated his shoulder, it's been 75 days since he's been riding... and he's BACK! I was there with him... I hate to say it but it was the best crash I've ever witnessed.. Raging Bull vs. the Shoulder Boulder. Seeing Trav horizontal at eye level was pretty impressive.

BORG: "He's back" ? is that like when Michael Jordan said "I'm Back"

CH: EXACTLY DUDE! - now you getting it.... I'm excited

BORG: Ok Wild Bill... I guess I better ask you some questions...

CH: ok dude!

BORG: why aren't you riding for team BORG? I hear you are pretty involved in BORG.

CH: I was already commited to some buddies from work - we rode together last year.. and we said we'd do it again this year.. I'm honoring a commitment. Trav is proud of me... even tho John Williams gives me a hard time!

BORG: commitments are good... what you like about BORG?

CH: Man..... Dude! I LOVE BORG .. every ride, every wreck, every time I'm the bug and every time I'm the windshield. I'm with my bro's and that makes it all good! I think what I like MOST is spending time with other Christ Followers and enjoying what God gave us. It's like I always say: "It's the adrenaline that got me hooked on mtn. biking, but it's the company that keeps me coming back"

BORG: ok carl... you not about to get mushy on me are ya?

CH: DUDE!.. nah.... it's not like that! it's all good! Ask me some other questions... what you ask the other guys?

BORG: oh.... ok.... ah.. here's a couple of questions: 1) what is your preferred ontrail snack?

CH: that's easy.... ANYTHING.... BUT Dirt and cow patty - I HATE when you roll through a fresh one with your front tire and for the next 3/4 of a mile it's flinging up in your face, particularly your mouth.

BORG: you been riding out at 50-year trail too much... sounds like the voice of experience.

CH: ABSOLUTELY.... DUDE!

BORG: what's your biggest pet peeve?

CH: Rush hour Traffic.... without a DOUBT DUDE!

BORG: you don't do rush hour huh?

CH: only if there are hot chicks in the cars around me...

BORG: you ever asked out a hot chick in a car next to you in traffic?

CH: well.... no... but man..... sometimes .... they are HOT DUUUDE!
